NME: 3.5 stars
This was a very good movie starring Mickey Rourke in the title role as a washed up professional wrestler whose life has hit hard times. It also stars Evan Rachel Wood (who overacts a little bit) and Marisa Tomei (who is topless throughout the movie). Mickey Rourke is really good in this movie because he really seemed to embody the role. I hope his career gets resurrected because he's very talented. I don't want to give away too much of the plot but be warned that it's not exactly an uplifting movie. Also some of the wrestling scenes were very bloody. In spite of this, I recommend it.
